    Water Security

The definition of water security is: the availability of an adequate abundance and quality of water for health, ecosystems and productions, joined with a satisfactory level of water-related risks to people, environments and economies. There are a variety of different securities such as energy security and food security, but the main difference between those and water security is the fact that it is not just the absence of water but also its presence that can be a danger. The hostile quality of the resource in its natural state is unique. The factors that determine water security is the hydrologic environment, the socio-economic environment and the changes in future environment.

    Hydrologic Environment:
The complete level of water resource availability

    Socio-Economic Environment:
The fabrication of the economy and the behavior of its actors - which reflects natural and cultural legacies and policy choices.
